    others uses the roots. This drink had the effect of putting the rash out on the patient.
    For a cold, flaxseed was drawn for hours, and to this "tea" was added sugar candy, liquorice stick and liquorice ball. The patient was obliged to drink a glass of the mixture several times a day. Note – the quantities required seem to be very indefinite.
    To stop excessive bleeding, chewed slanlas (a weed) was applied to the wound.
    Another cure for a sore throat was to eat the stem of daisies.
    An old cure for mumps. Put donkey's winkers on the sick person and lead him round the pigsty seven time, saying mucna mucna hug na leckna, leckna leckna hug na mucna.
