    Potatoes are the principal crop we sow in this parish.They are sown in the months of March and April and some people try to have them before St.Patrick's Day.Before they are sowed the garden is cleared weeds and burned and pits of potatoes are removed.
    At first the drills are opened and the manure is put out with the horse and cart and it is spread amongst the drills.Farm yard manure is always used and it is the best.Then the seed is brought in to the woman of the house and sge
