    "My Townland."
    The name of "my townland" is Annagh which means wet, marshy and boggy. It is situated in the middle of the Parish of Inagh, in the Barony of Inchiquin and in the County of Clare. There are three families living in the townland viz: Glynns, Devittes, Wynnes. In the beginning of the nineteenth century six families lived there--Carneys, Maloneys, Quins, Devitts, Wynnes, and the herdsman's house.
    The ruins of the houses occupied by the Quins Maloneys and Carneys are still to be seen. Carneys house is still good as it is kept in
