There is supposed to be a hidden treasure in the Tullaheady Castle, about 2 mls from Nenagh.
It was hidden by some people who lived near the Castle. They were afraid their houses would be raided by the Normans and and that their valuables would be taken.
It consists of some silver ornaments.
Many efforts have been made to get the treasure but it could not be found.
The exact spot where the treasure is hidden is not known but it is supposed to be hidden in that Castle.
