- There is a place outside Nenagh called Dinger's Hill. It got it name from two fighting parties namely the Dingers and the Dousers. One party fought against the other over a dog which belonged to the Dousers. There was a number of people slain and wounded who took part in the fight.
There is an old rhyme which was composed as follows after the fight.
The Dinger's and the Douser's
The Hogan's and the Ryan's
They all met together at the fair of the mines
In those times May Day was a noted day for renewing the Faction fight.- Bailitheoir
