    There are many forts in all parts of this country. Tradition tells us that they are inhabited by fairies and that it is wrong to interfere with them.
    In the townland of Ballymacahill which is in the parish of Doora there stands an old fort. If you visit it at twelve o'clock at night a big black dog will go in front of you until you come to a stream or river. Many people living near this fort have seen
