    The local fairs are held in Cavan, Belturbet, and Cootehill. Usually on a day or two before these fairs local buyers are to be seen going around on bicycles or in cars and stopping at the houses of farmers whom they expect to have cattle for sale. In this way they buy a great number of cattle for the local fairs.
