- One of the most harmful plants on the farm is the docken. On a windy day the seeds of the docken are blown over the ground and in a few days the ground is all covered with a bed of dockens.
Another harmful plant is rag-weed or bufflin[?] It is harmful because it spreads rapidly and also soaks the good out of the soil and leaves it poor.
Hoar-hound is another harmful weed. It also soaks the good out of the soil and leaves it poor.
