  1. My townland is Tunker, in the district of Belturbet and Parish of Annagh.
    There are five families in the townland and about twenty-four people. Three of the houses are thatched and two slated.
    The oldest person in the townland is Mrs. Annie Reilly. She is about 75 years. She never learned Irish.
    Long ago there were more houses in the townland. There were four houses on our street and one in a field close by. Not even the ruins are to be seen now. In the famine days some of the people died of hunger while others emigrated. I could not find out the names.
    The land is hilly and not very good for cultivation. There is a small lake and a small bog in the
