    Long my they preach the Gospel in the holy Church of Rome
    Long may the Meath and Cavan boys their country's cause defend
    They are the men on whom to call, when Ireland needs a friend
    Like true and honest heroes, undivided they will stand
    Against the foes that dare depose, their Faith, and Fatherland
