  2. Bernard MacIntyre was by profession a national teacher, but owing to ill health had to retire early in life and died a young man. He was born in Bailieboro district and taught in Maghera for years. After he retired he lived in Virginia. He was about fifty when he died. He was a gifted violonist one of the best in Ireland. He won prizes all over Ireland. Even when he was on his death bed the people came to listen to him playing.
