  1. I live in the townland of Derrylahan it is about two and a half miles from Ballyjamesduff in the Parish of Crosserlough and Barony of Crosserlough. There are about twenty families in it the name most common in it is Smith. There are about ninety nine people in the townland.
All the houses are thatched and some houses have clay floors but some have cement ones in them. There is an old woman who is over one hundred years of age. She is of the family of Mc Evoys. She has a son living by himself and he is about the age of sixty nine.
