    These are the names of the wild birds that are found in my district - the wren, robin, blackbird, thrush, sparrow, yellow-yarn, swallow, willy-wag-tail, goldfinch, stonechecker, tomtit, green-linnet, corncrake, cuckoo, chaffinch, swift, lark, stare, snipe, wild-duck, water-hen, tail-duck widgeon, diver, sea-gull crane, swan, crow, hawk, magpie, partridge, jackdaw, curlew and the owl.
    These are the birds that go away to foreign countries, the swallow, cuckoo, divor, and the corncrake. They all come back in the summer.
    These are the places where each bird builds its nest. The wren builds in whins and hedges. The robin builds in ditches and hedges. The blackbird builds in hedges. The thrush builds in a hedge. The sparrow builds in
