    When a pair got married in Co. Cavan, they have the "wedding" or feast in the bride's house.
    All the neighbours are invited and there is a lot of drink. In the evening the "bean beggars" arrive. They ask to see the bride. They get money or drink and then they give three cheers for the bride. They are usually dressed up with straw.
