  1. We get a holiday from school on St. Patrick's Day. The people wear the shamrock in their buttonholes on St. Patrick's Day because St. Patrick preached to the people that there were three persons in the one God in the Holy Trinity. Years ago when Patrick's Day would come the old people used to say "St. Patrick's Day trow your old coat away". There is generally a hunt on St. Patrick's Day in this district.
