  1. Some of the people have cures for the strain. This cure is handed from the father down to the daughter and from the daughter to her son, and if she has no son it dies away out of that family.
    The seventh son with no sister in between is supposed to have the cure of the running "evil" a very bad disease. There are other cures but, not very noticable in these parts now. Down in the lower end of this County there is a cure in one of the family for hundreds of years, it is a cure of madness caused by a mad dog. This cure is so celebrated that in
