    to allow the other side to bake. In about an hour the cake was baked and was quite hard. Before tea was introduced into this country, the working men ate oaten bread and sweet milk.
    There is a bread iron in the school, which belongs to Mary Brogan who resides in the townland of Corhoogan. It is very old and she would not like to part with it.
