    1. Cure for stye on the eye.
    Take nine gooseberry thorns and point one to the stye each morning before your breakfast for nine mornings and it will go away.
    2. Cure for warts.
    If you find a stone unexpectedly with a hole with some water in it, rub the water over the wart three times marking the sign of the cross and it will die.
    3. Cure for a sore throat.
    Heat salt and put it into a small bag and hold it to your throat as hot as it can be beared.
    4. Cure for a pain in the ear.
    Make an oat meal cake and bake it on a griddle, take it off and put a cloth round it and hole it to your ear.
    5. Cure for a toothache.
    Get a flat stone and heat it, roll it in a flannell cloth and hold it to you ear
