  1. In most Districts people make use of various signs to tell the sort of weather that is approaching. When the crane flies in a northerly direction people say it is a sign of good weather and when she flies to the south the weather is nigh. an almost infallible forecast to watch the smoke issuing from a chimney. When it ascends vertically fine weather is approaching.
