    to lend anything or to borrow anything, especially to lend a churn. The people say you will give away the profit if you lend on that day. Saturday is looked upon as a bad day for moving as the old rhyme says. Saturday's flit is a short sit.
    The correct time for planting potatoes in this district is from the 17th March until Easter. The corn should also be sown the same time, and the harvest should be reaped after the 15th August and should be gathered in before Michaelmas Day.
    If the first three days of April are very cold and stormy people say that these days have been borrowed from March to skin the old cow. If the weather continues cold they say it will take nine days, These days are called the "The days of the old cow".
