  1. " A Fairy Story"
    Once upon a time there was an old castle in Mr. Mitchel's farm in the townland of Cornalaur, in the parish of Rahan, in the Barony of Ballycowhan and in the County of Offaly. There is supposed to be fairies in the castle. Every morning Mr. Mitchel used to go out and get money in the Castle.
    One morning he went out and he found (and he found) a stone which seemed to be very queer. He brought in the stone and put in up on a shelf.
    Next morning he went into the kitchen and he saw a big black dog lying on the floor. The stone was gone and there was nothing on the shelf. He put on his clothes and he opened the door to put out
