  1. In olden times people used eat three meals. The meals were breakfast, dinner and supper. The breakfast was eaten about eight o'clock, the dinner at twelve and the supper at eight o'clock.

  2. In the olden times up to the time of the famine potatoes (was) were the principal food. They were used twice a day, for dinner and for supper. The people used oaten-meal porridge and oaten bread for their breakfast. Some people made cakes out of potatoes and baked them on griddles. About ninty years ago tea was first used.
