Ar an leathanach seo

Thrushes, black-birds, swallows, chaffinches, crows, hawks, jack-daws, gold-finches, bull-finches, robins, tomtits, yellow-hammers, woodquests, water-hens, magpies, granny-cór-íasc, water-wag tails, polly-white-wings, bean crakes, minny-gowers, snipes, cuckoos, and black-caps, are found in Ballyhogue.
    The swallows, and the cuckoos go away from us in July or August.
    The swallows come in April. When the crows are up very high in the air and they come down the same as if they fell it is a sign of bad weather. When you see the sea-gulls coming in off the sea and coming to the land it is a sign of a storm. When a cuckoo os calling he says "cú cú cú.
    The bean-crake says bean-crake and the robin whistles.
