  1. Many old people in this district are able to take off warts by getting a small snail with a shell and putting it on the wart. The snail licks the wart, then the snail is put on a bush thorn and when the snail weathers away the (snail) wart goes away also.
Another remedy for warts is get someone to count the warts and that they would go away also.
Another one is to get a red match and damp it with your tongue and leave it on the wart. The match is to be burned when the wart is burned.
A remedy for warts also is to put holy water on there for nine mornings one after the other.
The old people remedy tooth-ache by pouring a drop of whiskey on them.
A cure for a sore throat is to put a stocking around your neck .
