  1. About twenty years ago there was a ghost seen in Annaghs, which is situated by the side of the river Barrow. It is in the County Kilkenny, and it is two miles away from the town of New Ross.
One night a woman went into the wood for a few sticks to light the fire.
She heard a stirring in the nearby bushes, and immediately she turned around. She looked about for a moment, and then she heard a noise similar to the first one. Again she turned and saw a ghost standing in front of her. She nearly fell with the fright.
She turned and ran back towards her home which was about fifty yards away. When she got inside her house, she locked the door and then fainted on the ground. Amid the night she woke up and she felt very weak. She then packed all her clothes, and her belongings and waited until morning came.
When morning came she left the house, and lived someplace in the town. The house that she formerly lived in, is at present deserted. It is still believed that the same place is haunted.
