In the parish of Taghmon there are four holy wells.

away in the spot where it is at the present day. St. Brigid's well is specially recommended for the cure of sore eyes and although little visited nowadays it was one time noted for its many cures and people from far and near used to visit it. Tubbermuna is used for household purposes by most people living in the vicinity of it and has been so for years. The well in the Munnacaun is little used owing to its being so near the graveyard of the same name.
