   A protestant man called Keugh, was very brave and honourable. He thought the cruelties committee by the parties in the rising were terrible and he that the standard of war was very wicked, and my grandmother told me once, that he tried to rally the rebels together, so a to prevent some of these cruelties and he said to the rebels "Do not spoil your victory with cruelty. Do not let a difference in your religion spoil your victory. Be human"

   This brave man was afterwards hanged on the old bridge on the quay - stretching
