  1. Days of Birth.
Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving.
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
But a child that is born on the Sabbath day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.
One magpie is for sorrow-two are for joy.
    Three magpies are for luck.
When you meet a white horse, spit on your heel and you will have luck.
If you meet a red haired woman or a cross eyed person in the morning you should bless yourself.
When a picture falls off the wall in your own house your neighbour will die there.
If you walk under a ladder it means bad luck.
A black cat is for luck.
