There is a fort in one of our fields in the parish of Mostrim , Edgworthstown , Co Longford Mr. Bloomer owner of the land informed me that while digging a holier the fort , so as to put down a pole , a brass jug was found , it was small and quite rusty. He brought it home and got it washed , he the examined it carefully and found written on it "Hidden treasure s leagues further down. He went back and covered up the hole again. This happened about 32 years ago.
