    The farm animals are the ass, cow, horse, pig, sheep and goat.
    The ass is a very useful animal. He does a lot of work for the farmer. He pulls heavy loads for him. It is said that it isn't right nor lucky to beat an ass because it was an ass which carried our Lord and His mother from Nazareth to Egypt.
    The cow is a most useful animal, she gives us milk for our tea and also gives us milk to churn and make butter. During the Winter months the cow is kept in at night in a byre and is fed on hay. The flesh of the cow is called beef.
    The horse is the largest
