  1. Long, Long ago in the parish of Ardagh there lived a farmer. This man kept a little boy to help him with his work.
    This was a very well-to-do man and kept alot of cattle and horses. There was a fair to be held in the town of Longford in a few days time.
    He told the little boy to go out and dig around a fort that was on the farm.
    The boy did as he was told. The first day of his work he thought he saw
