Patrick Daly aged 15 years - A long time ago there lived a very poor man named Johnny Lacy. He dreamt one night that if he went to the bridge of London that he would get a fortune. He started out at once and when he got to the bridge there was no sign of the fortune. He stood there some time not knowing what to do, when a man came to him and said. "I notice you standing here and as you are a stranger, could I be of any assistance to you? Johnny then told him about his dream. The man said. "Oh how foolish of you to come so far on the strength of a dream." I too dreamt of a fortune that I was to if I went to Johnny Lacey's three cornered garden that's at the back of his house in Athlone." Johnny was glad to here the good news and went home at once and got a spade to dig for his fortune which he found without much trouble. A big pot full of gold and he lived happy ever after.(continues on next page)
