  1. In the townsland of Abbeyderg there is an old lake. It is called Lough Morell. In the year 1836 it rose in another spot, and the old spot is to be seen to this day. Nobody knows how it rose in the other spot. It is said calves came out of this Lough and feed on the moor. When they see anyone coming, they go back into the stream.
