  1. The local roads of this district are the Dublin Road, Clara Road, Athlone and Ballycumber Road, Ballymore Road, Ballinderry Road, and Hall Road.
    They are in existence many centuries. They were improved on and turned into first and second class roads, within the last fifty years.
    The main road running from Dublin to Galway is the oldest of all because the stage coached traveled in by gone days on it.
    The stage companies improved on them. There are numerous byways around this district. The custom connect with the cross roads is maypole dancing.
