Up near Castletown Co. Westmeath there is a bog, and a crock of butter with a wooden lid was found by a man named Farrell. He brought it home with him and and weighed it, and it weighed very heavy about 30½ lbs or so.
He was asked to sell it but refused, and said he would keep it. It had a lovely yellow colour.
