long ago people used a rush candle for light.
The rush was peeled of its skin all to a small strip and then dipped in grease in a thing called a grisset. There was a candle stick with a clip for holding the rush.
- What is it that is full and holds more?
Ans. A pot of potatoes when you pour water in.
What is it if it is too small you cut a bit off to make it big enough?
Ans. A grave.
Why is the letter K like a pigs tail?
Ans. Because it is at the end of pork.
Why is a bar of toffee like a race horse?
Because the more you lick it the quicker it goes.
