    On new years day in this locality there is turkey or goose eaten for dinner and there is usually fruit cake for tea.
    On St Patricks day the people wear shamrock in their coat. On the day before the children go out and pick shamrocks.
    On Shrove Tuesday night it is the custom to cat pancakes.
    On Ash Wednesday all the people that are able go to the church to get blessed with ashes.
    On Good Friday the people feast.
