  1. Long ago there was a king. He was very lazy. One day when he was sitting on the side of the road. He saw a beggar man running along the road. The beggar-man was in his bare feet. The king called him over and asked him why he was in his bare feet. The beggar said "Why should I have to wear boots in the summer." "You should take off your big boots and go in your bare feet also."
    When the king began to take off his boots the beggar ran off up the road. When the king saw this he
