  1. There is part of a wayside stone cross near Killucan on the road leading to Killucan Station and the following inscribed inscription is inscribed on it:-
    Good Christians pray for the Soul of John D. Mc Loughlin who deceased the 14th day of August 16- and for Joan Hughes his wife who departed 13th September. In former years a custom prevailed in this parish of Funerals halting or stopping when passing the remains of this Stone Cross.
    Over a Holy Well at Scarden there is a stone and on it is the following inscription:- This stone was erected by Denis Martin that christians may pray for him and Elenor Martin his wife and for John Martin his son.
