    were held in check by O'Reilly of Kilbride and a small army of natives on the "Hill of Bobsgrove" until a relief flank from Kilmacrott came to their aid.
    The Irish won but the victory was dearly bought. Though the Cromwellian troops were driven back to Meath with a vengeance O'Reilly of Kilbride lay a corpse on the green sward of Bobsgrove.
    The remains of this warrior are supposed to rest in the old graveyard of Kilbride. Some say his grave was then blessed by Father Robert Plunkett a relative of
