    The Smoke.
    When the smoke goes up staight out of the chimney is a sign of good weather, and when the smoke blows back down the chimney is a sign of bad weather.
    The Moon.
    When the moon is on its back is a sign of rain.
    The Sheep.
    When the sheep stay under the hedges and do not come out to eat it is a sign of rain.
    The Curlews.
    If the curlews can be heard whistling it is another sign of rain.
    The Stars.
    If the stars are shining very brightly and some of them falling it is a sign of frost.
