  1. Story:- Hidden Treasure told by Mrs Hugh Carolan, age 62, Tierworker, Bailieborough to her son Kevin.
    In olden times before there were any Banks opened to receive money many people were robbed because they kept their money in gold and silver in their homes. Sometimes they hid it outside in old walls or ditches or under heaps of stones.
    In the downland of Newcastle there is a small lake called "Padraig Mor" lake in which a keg of gold is buried. The man that lived in the house over the lake Padraig Mor Lynch, Newcastle, Moynalty, Kells, Co. Meath had all his gold in a keg and the robbers came to take the money of him.
    This man always kept the doors
