    There is the ruins of an old house on a farm of Thomas Lynchs, Leitrim Upper, Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath. Thomas Lynchs father said that when he was a boy he saw the sanitary officer from Navan, come and burn the house and take away the last two survivers of the family to Navan fever hospital. The rest were dead with the black cholera. The sanitary offcer dug a hole in the field, and burried
