  1. Some years ago some young men from Walterstown made a plan to frighten a man who was in the habit of gouing to a house in Skyrne and coming home drunk.
    This man had to pass by a lonely part of the road - Monkstown graveyard. It was about half past eleven when the drunken man came along walking. One of the young men suddenly walked out of the graveyard gate, covered with a white sheet. When the drunken man saw him he started to scream and could not stop. Soon the young man himself became afraid. He flung off the sheet and said "It's only (ME) Jimmy" "But the other was not quite sober. "Yes" he said "it's you. But look what is behind you!"
