  2. My pastime sometimes is making toys. I often made clothes out of old pieces of material for dolls. Sometimes the fitted them well and other times they were to small. Out in the green fields I spent the most of my time making daisychains and garlands for my hair. I got six or seven potatoes and six bits of sticks and I made a doll. In one of the potatoes, I bored two holes for the eyes, and one for the mouth. I often made boxes into cradles for dolls. Sometimes I made motor-cars and lorries. I made them out of carboard.
