  1. The fairy moat is in the centre of a field at Barnattin. It is surrounded by furze bobcráns and briers. One night a man was going in the direction of the fairy moat. He saw a number of fairies carrying a coffin on their shoulders. It is five yards wide and three yards high. The top is covered grass and moss. This field belongs to Mrs Cooney, Barnattin, Parish of Drogheda, Co Louth.
