   Sometimes if a man wanted to buy a beast and had not the full amount of money he would give some of the money as for example a half crown and promise to pay the rest when he would take the beast. That half crown would be called "eirnist".
   When people have a deal made they spit on their fists or strike the palms of the hands together or say "throw the dirt on them" to show that there is a deal made.
