    Sheep are always kept in the SHEEP FIELD because it is supposed to be a good field for them.

    THE FORGE FIELD is situated on Mr Purcell's land.

    GORT na PHUBHAIL is a field situated on Mr. Lonergan's land.

    THE BREAC FORD is so called because there were many trout there long ago.

    HALFPENNY WELL is so called because the people used to pay a halfpenny for every gallon of water they got.
