    Inscription:-
    "Hic jacet Thadeus Geankagh O'Meagher
    Generosus, qui obit 19 Decembris, A.D. 1627,
    cujus alae propietur Deus"
    Translation:-
    Here lies Tadgh Geancach O'Meagher Esq,
    who died 19th December A.D. 1627,
    to whose soul may God be merciful.

    NOTE
    According to local tradition the above O'Meagher lived at his ancestral castle of Ballylusky, and was a member of the historic O'Meagher clan of Inkerrin. This castle has now disappeared, but the site is still pointed out.
