    Railway line to Birr.
An old dead tree marks the spot where this well is situated.
There used to be pilgrimages to this well formerly but stopped when Mount St. Josephy monastery was established some sixty years ago.
There was a cure for sore eyes and bodily sores this was effected by the sufferer moving nine times on bare knees round the well and repeating the Rosary while so doing.
Rosaries, medals, pieces of cloth are still to be seen clinging to the old tree.
A woman was cured and it was revealed to her that the cure was effected through the intervention of the Blessed Virgin Mary, hence the name Our Lady's Well.
The 15 August was the day for the pilgrimage.
